As part of a worldwide movement that offers neutral humanitarian care to the victims of war, the American Red Cross distinguishes itself by also aiding victims of devastating natural disasters. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services, always with the aim of preventing and relieving suffering.
Bethany Christian Services
Bethany is about kids in families. We serve children of all ages as we strive towards a world where every child has a loving family. Our services include family support and preservation, adoption, foster care, pregnancy counseling, training, refugee services, sponsorship, and infertility ministry.
Convoy of Hope
Since Convoy of Hope, a faith-based nonprofit, was founded in 1994 we have served more than 48 MILLION people throughout the world through international children’s feeding initiatives, community outreaches, disaster response and partner resourcing.
Disabled American Veterans
The DAV’s 1.2 million members provide grassroots advocacy and services in communities nationwide. From educating lawmakers and the public about important issues to supporting services and legislation to help disabled veterans — the DAV is there to promote its message of hope to all who have served and sacrificed.
Hope: Center for Teens
The philosophy of the Hope Center for Teens, Inc. includes a holistic, multi-disciplinary approach to decreasing unplanned, out-of-wedlock pregnancies for young women and increasing their ability to become productive, independent citizens in the community and establish caring parental relationships with their children.
K-LOVE Radio
Our local radio station with a mission to effectively communicate the Gospel message to those who don’t know or fully understand it, through full time contemporary Christian music and short educational elements over radio and the Internet – using modern day language and the highest professional standards.
New Horizons
New Horizons of Northwest Florida, Inc. is a non-profit agency that has been in existence since 1942 caring for individuals who are developmentally and physically challenged. There are four separate entities in this organization that provide care in our community. Ronald McDonald House Charities
Our Ronald McDonald House program provides a “home-away-from-home” for families so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little or no cost. Our Houses are built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on healing their child – not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal or where they will lay their head at night to rest.
Safe Harbor Women’s Shelter
Safe Harbor is a non-profit organization. We are committed to providing counsel, assistance and personal support to women and their families who are facing untimely or crisis pregnancies. Because we are a non-profit organization, we make no money from the services we provide. Regardless of which services our clients receive, we have nothing to gain.
United Cerebral Palsy of Northwest Florida
At United Cerebral Palsy of Northwest Florida we believe in a life without limits for persons with disabilities. Since 1953 we have made it our goal to serve infants, children, youth, and adults with cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities through various programs and services. We believe that regardless of a person’s age they are always our children.
Waterfront Rescue Mission
The Waterfront Rescue Mission was created to spread the Good News of Salvation through Christ by serving the needs of the poor, addicted, abused and homeless. Through our various programs, we help these men and women improve the quality of their lives by producing real change through the love of Christ.
